ALIVE and ACTIVE taught by Bishop Emeritus Leo O’Reilly and Fr Darragh Connolly combines Contemplative Prayer with Scripture. The Contemplative prayer component will help you learn to relax fully and completely for a more direct encounter with God. The Scripture component offers a light examination of the thinking of Jesus Christ, to both know him better and ponder where his thinking intersects with your life. The ALIVE and ACTIVE course will run on Thursdays for 6 nights starting on 27th October, 7.30pm – 9pm. LECTIO DIVINA, a prayerful reading of the Sunday gospel has resumed each Tuesday after 10am Mass in the Cathedral. Come and give it a try for half an hour in the Conference room behind the altar.
MARY'S MEALS CAVAN WANTS YOUR COPPERS. If you have any 1c, 2c, or 5c at home that are piling up, we will take them off your hands. We will also take any old coins, foreign coins, sterling coins that are no longer needed or useful to you. Last February a similar coin drive raised €520 - THANK YOU! Mary's Meals provides a daily meal to the world's most vulnerable children in their place of education at a cost of just 9c per meal. Please contact Caoimhe at 0863745756 or Patricia at 0876680355, if you wish to donate and collection will be arranged.
